Cryolipolysis, Lipocryolysis
REDUCE LOCALLY STORED BODY FAT BY COLD ¡ Non-Surgical Fat Removal! Cryolipolysis or fat freezing is a non-invasive, painless and very effective procedure of fat cells destruction by freezing to achieve local reduction of fat deposits in specific places of the body without damaging the surrounding tissues and blood vessels, and do not traumatize the nerves and bones around the area. Fat freezing was invented by Dr. Manstein and Dr. Anderson at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. They showed that fat cells are more susceptible to cold than other tissues. The exposure to low temperatures causes the destruction of sub-cutaneous fatty tissue that cannot be easily reduced by diet or exercise. Cryolipolysis is not suited to treat excess weight and it´s a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Lipocryolysis is a non-invasive method for the selective reduction of fat cells with controlled and localized cooling, without needles or incisions. Anesthesia and pain medication are not needed. Cryolipolysis has no recovery time and patients can return to normal activities immediately including work and physical (sport) activity. Every zone of the body with unwanted fatty deposits can be treated with cryolipolysis: legs, saddle bags, abdominal area, waist, back, love handles, buttocks, knees, upper arms, etc. During the treatment, a special conductor is placed onto the chosen body zone and the sub-cutaneous tissue is lifted using vacuum technology, after which the fatty tissue is cooled. Using fast cooling the sub-cutaneous tissue is destroyed. After the treatment, the fat cells are drained gradually through kidneys and liver. Cryolipolysis does not affect serum lipid levels or liver function tests. The side effects which can be caused by the treatments are minimal and harmless. During the procedure you may experience a slightly unpleasant initial dragging feeling caused by the vacuum, redness in the treated area that lasting no more than a few hours, localized bruising that usually clears within a few hours. After the treatment, the respective area might be slightly sclerotic and sensitive to pressure. Some patients experience dermal numbness or hypersensitivity that may last up to eight weeks. The first results from the treatment will be visible after 4 to 6 weeks, occasionally even up to 3-4 months, until the full result shows. The fat tissue exposed to cryolipolysis reduces from 12% to 36%, i.e. by 24% on average. A session takes about half to two hours, depending on the number of treated zones. During that time, the client is sitting or lying down comfortably and can listen to the music, use a laptop, read, or even sleep. The number of treatments necessary depends on the volume of the chosen zone. For the best results you will need 1 to 5 treatments on average. There are 6-8 weeks between treatments in the same area but you can do it the same day in a different place. It is also possible to optimise the results of a cryolipolysis treatment by combining the treatment with a carboxytherapy session, after one week, to get better results reducing the local adiposity and improving the laxity of body skin. By paying attention to your diet and exercising regularly the long-term results will be stable. Cryolipolysis is designed for use in a medical office specializing in aesthetic procedures because it has several contraindications: Individuals who over-react to cold (cryoglobulinemia, nocturnal cold hematuria, cold urticaria, Raynaud’s disease) Coagulation disorders Cancer Cardiovascular disorders, heart disease, pacemaker implantation Autoimmune diseases (lupus, scleroderma, severe diabetes, etc.) Dermal diseases, scar tissue, inflammations and/or injuries/wounds in the area to be treated Extreme overweight Inguinal hernia or laparocele or underwent surgery, gastric or duodenal ulcer Severe hepatic or renal impairment Patients with metal and plastic implants in the treatment area (evaluate) Menstrual period, pregnant women and those with breastfeeding infants Under 21 years old.
